jacks nearly 18 months now and he will happily play in his room on his own for an hour, maybe more... but if he sees you walk past his room he will cry and demand your attention then go back to playing.

hey,
yes this perfectly normal, children of this will do this all te time.
its just hs way of wanting a bit of attetion n when he got that bit of attention e fine to be going basck on hs own.
